What is a good medicine for ashtsma patients?

What is a good medicine for ashtsma patients?
Asthma is a serious respiratory disease and that requires diagnosis and treatment by a MD only . Individuals with the disease require their own personal treatment & medical plan. So there's no "good medicine that fits all ".Do not try the OTC meds, they can be dangerous to those with resp disease and worse for those who don't. Take care. SW FNP
Most asthma patients have a rescue inhaler which is typically albuterol. In addition you may have some sort of maintenance medication (like salmeterol) that is longer acting and helps to keep you from having any attacks.
Other than just the inhaler, there are different types of steroids that can be prescribed but these are known to weaken your immune system so you might be pron to more viruses.
Sharon is 100% correct.
Every patient is different!
Only a qualified Physician preferably a Pulmonologist can diagnose the type of Asthma, and the need for medication.
Not all Asthma patients need rescue inhalers---which contain broncho-dilators to open airway passages. Some patients are managed soley on steroidal anti-inflammatory meds.
The steriods typically given to Asthmatics don't cause the side affects you here about from ABUSE of steriods, or those given in high doses for other contions.
